Seed beads are very small glass beads, also known as rocailles.
Seed beads are ideal for making jewellery, they are used for mostly bead weaving where there are endless possibilities of different weaving techniques. Seed beads can be used for bead embroidery and garment embellishment, and creating beaded kumihimo, and making stretchy bracelets on elasticity.
Size 11/0 seed beads are approx 1.5x 2mm.
Size 8/0 seed beads are approx 1.85 x 3mm.
We sell them in weight, as they are too small to count!
The tiniest seed beads we have, perfectly sized for bezelling or for in filling smaller spaces just that bit too small for an 11/0, or if you're feeling very brave produce a piece of beadwork all in size 15/0's, don't forget the magnifying glass!
Don't forget to pick up some beading thread, beading needles and beading mat!
