Seed beads are very small glass beads, also known as rocailles.

Seed beads are ideal for making jewellery, they are used for mostly bead weaving where there are endless possibilities of different weaving techniques. Seed beads can be used for bead embroidery and garment embellishment, and creating beaded kumihimo, and making stretchy bracelets on elasticity.

Size 11/0 seed beads are approx 1.5x 2mm.

Size 8/0 seed beads are approx 1.85 x 3mm.

We sell them in weight, as they are too small to count!

Here are some very rough figures regarding Czech rocailles but please don't sue, they are very small. 11/0, our smaller size, are 1.5 x 2mm. A retail pack of 5g will contain 580 beads and produce a length of 80cm. 8/0, our larger size, are 1.85 x 3mm and 5g will contain 220 beads and produce a length of 40cm.

Don't forget to pick up some beading thread, beading needles and beading mat!
